Pacific Ironworks, a leading metal fabrication company located in McCleary, WA, recently had the opportunity to work with Evergreen Services to retrofit their mobile medical vehicle with additional security measures. The project involved the removal of an existing plexiglass viewing window at the distribution counter and the installation of a new ½” thick Poly glass with a turntable pass-through. Additionally, Pacific Ironworks fabricated and installed a self-closing secondary security door with a viewing window and high-security lock.
The mobile medical vehicle owned by Evergreen Services is essential in providing medical treatment to patients in remote locations. However, with the increasing need for security, it became necessary to upgrade the vehicle’s security measures. Pacific Ironworks was pleased to be a part of this project and provide a solution that meets the needs of our client.
Before beginning the retrofitting process, Pacific Ironworks carefully assessed the vehicle’s existing structure to determine the best way to install the new security features. After careful consideration, our team of experts decided that the best course of action was to remove the existing plexiglass viewing window and replace it with new ½” thick Poly glass with a turntable pass-through. This solution provided better security while allowing for the distribution of medications and supplies.
Pacific Ironworks then fabricated and installed a self-closing secondary security door with a viewing window and high-security lock. The door was designed to be sturdy enough to withstand attempted break-ins while remaining lightweight enough for easy operation. The viewing window in the door allowed medical staff to see outside while providing an additional level of security.
During the retrofitting process, Pacific Ironworks ensured that the vehicle’s structural integrity was not compromised in any way. We also worked diligently to complete the installation on time and with minimal disruption to our client’s operations.
Finally, after completing the retrofitting process, Pacific Ironworks was pleased with the final result. The new security measures provided the necessary security while maintaining the functionality of the vehicle. Additionally, the new design enhanced the overall aesthetic of the mobile medical vehicle.
Pacific Ironworks is proud to have worked with Evergreen Services on this project and provide a solution that meets their unique needs.
